...Cherry, a 25-27 year old Connemara horse, came into Wood Green in a a
terrible state. She was underweight, covered in sores and had
basically given up on life. She was not interested in people and had
no desire to exercise due to the weak state and poor condition she was in.
However... the Field Staff could see the potential in her and with
gentle encouragement and lots of TLC Cherry began to gain weight and found
the will to live.
The transformation from the bony, miserable, uninterested horse that
came in, to the lively, bright-eyed horse that is full of life and happy in
a new home is remarkable. This is the kind of work that our dedicated,
devoted and experienced staff do every day. It can only continue with
